Emma began studying piano at age of six. In 2006, she was accepted
into one of the best music schools in China, the Central
Conservatory of Music, double majoring in Piano Performance and
Composition. Since then Emma has actively performed in major cities
in China such as Beijing, Tianjin, Henan. Alongside performing as a
solo pianist, Emma has written for various combinations of chamber
ensemble, choir, as well as solo instrumental pieces.  She also
collaborated with instrumentalists, vocalists, theatre, and film. Upon
graduation, Emma gave her solo debut at her hometown, Henan,
China when she was sixteen years old.
In 2009, Emma started her education at Interlochen Arts Academy
with full scholarship. At Interlochen, she participated in numerous
master classes and was invited to perform around Michigan with the
Piano Department. In 2016, Emma completed her Bachelor’s degree
in Classical Piano Performance at Manhattan School of Music under
the tutelage of American pianist Daniel Epstein.
Being trained as a classical pianist and composer, Emma has always exposed her talent and passion for music
and arts through different art forms; Acting, Singing, and Writing. She started writing poems in elementary school
and published her first short fiction at age fourteen. After moving to New York, she studied Acting at The T.
Schreiber Studio and was then being cast for the leading actress in two independent short films.
As a teacher, the primary goal for Emma is to make the study of piano fun, engaging and fulfilling. Emma is
passionate about inspiring others to cultivate their love for music.  She believes that patience, communication, and
encouragement are just as important to imparting musical knowledge as technical skill. Emma has taught students
at all levels of experience.
